Software Engineering Internship Experience (SEIE)

The ThinkNeuro Software Engineering Internship Experience (SEIE) is a fully remote, project-based engineering program for ambitious high school and undergraduate students. Interns learn essential software engineering skills including Git version control, collaborative development workflows, portfolio creation, and real-world software project execution.

The SEIE curriculum is designed with guidance from engineers at Apple, Uber, Meta, NASA, and GitHub, ensuring alignment with modern industry standards and internship expectations.

Students complete the program with:

  • A hosted personal portfolio website

  • A GitHub profile showcasing professional-quality commits and repositories

  • Completion of a real team-based software engineering project

  • A certificate recognizing internship - level engineering training

  • A final demo-day video presentation and polished project README

  • Hands-on experience using Git, GitHub Issues, Projects, and Pull Requests - mirroring real internship workflows

Workshops are developed by engineers from top institutions, while office hours and team support are provided by ThinkNeuro instructors and project managers who guide students through portfolio building, debugging, and completing all project deliverables.
